Cotton On Mini Haul

One of my favourite clothing brands is Cotton On. I love the quality of their clothes as well as the affordability. Recently they had had sale to coincide with Halloween, where almost everything was 31% off! I couldn't help myself, so I had a look online and found some really cool graphic t-shirts! I do love me a graphic t-shirt, so with the 31% off, I got me a few!

I love the style of the two that I am going to talk about first. They are both choker style long tanks.
The first one has Phoenix Festival on the front, with an American Eagle, then on the back there is a list of American Cities. I love the colour of this tank, it's a dark grey and I think it will look great with jeans.

The other tank I bought is really cool. It has a motorbike on the front, with American Motorcycles written above it. I love the colours too, with the pink, purple and peach. It just makes it look a little bit more girly! The back it really cool too, it has a triangle cutout with mesh, so great for summer.
The thing I love most about this top is the little caption underneath the bike that says 'I can't even ride'  This is so me because I like Harley Davidson bikes, but have never ridden one!

The next t-shirt is one I just had to get. Again it's the choker style that I love and it has David Bowie on the front! I love his music and thing he was so talented so when I saw this t-shirt I knew I had to have it. The material of all these t-shirts are white lightweight, this are great for summer but also goo if you like to layer up too.

The final top I have is just a plain pink tee, with a v shaped neckline and has a pretty palm tree graphic with 'Give me a Break' written underneath.

I hope you enjoyed my mini haul, I can't wait until the weather heats up a little here so I can actually were them!

My Quick and Easy Self Tanning Routine

Hi all, welcome back to my blog I hope you are all well!

In today's post I will be sharing with you my very simple self tanning routine. With the weather starting to warm up here in Australia, which is exciting and with that means lots of bronzed up bodies!

So here is my easy to follow self tanning routine along with a brief description of the products I use!

My products of choice when it comes to self tanning is always Bondi Sands. I have been using their products for some time now and highly recommend the brand. The products are easy to apply and look very even and natural.

So to begin with, I use the self tan eraser to remove any remaining tan that is on my skin. This is an awesome product to get rid of those spots of tan that won't come off with regular exfoliating. All you need to do is apply this to the areas that you tan removed from, leave on for about five minutes and then rinse off! So easy and such a great product to have in your regular tanning routine.

The next step is to exfoliate the skin, with some exfoliating gloves and your favourite body wash or soap. I am currently using Zoella's Jelly and Gelato Shower shake. It smells amazing while really softening your skin. I do this step to make my skin smooth and ready for application of the tannng products.

After I have patted myself dry, I stand in front of my mirror to apply my tan. The one I use is the Bondi Sands Ultra Dark, and love it! I do this because it's easy to see the parts of my skin that I miss and to ensure that I have a nice, even application. To apply the tan, I always use a tanning mitt. I use the Bondi Sands one, and this really helps to give you an even application while preventing you from getting "Tan Hands".

I will usually wait about 10-15 minutes before getting dressed, to allow the tan to dry. My usual time for applying tan is at night, and I will then rinse of the guide colour in the morning when I get up. This gives the tan a good amount of time to fully develop.

As I said earlier in my post,

BYS Peach Palette vs Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette

Hello lovelies, I hope you're doing well! I have been a bit MIA over the last month or so, it's just been a bit hectic lately but I am back this week with my regular 3 posts a week.

For today's post, I thought I would do a comparison on two palettes that I have. One is the Too Faced Sweet Peach palette, which is a high end product and the other is the BYS Cosmetics Peach Palette.

Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette

I will start off with the Too Faced Palette. This is one of my current favourite palettes, with the texture of the shadows so smooth and buttery.

The swatches Top row, Middle row and bottom row.
It's definitely worth the money if you want a quality, easy to blend eyeshadow palette.

The packaging is pretty, I love the peachy, pink colour and it's also quite sturdy. Great if your clumsy like me and prone to dropping things. The eyeshadow is well protected.

BYS Cosmetics Peach Palette

The BYS Cosmetics Peach Palette is great for the price. I picked mine up in Kmart for 12 dollars! I was very excited when I saw it, so grabbed it straight away!

The colours are similar to the Too Faced Palette, but with more pinky tones. The colour pigmentation is great, each colour swatches well and are very smooth to apply.
I played around with the palette a few times, and found the colours aren't as easy to blend as the Too Faced palette, but still quite easy to work with.
I really love the colours in this palette, there are warm toned which is great going into spring here in Australia.
In this palette you get 12 colours, where the Too Faced one is 18.

The packaging is similar to the Sweet Peach Palette, with the pink and gold. Very pretty and looks great.

Overall I love both palettes. If you are after a cheaper alternative to the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette, then definitely pick this one up. I use both regularly and love each one.
I'm actually really liking BYS Cosmetics at the moment, their products are amazing!

I hope you enjoyed this post, stay tuned for more regular posts xx

Product Empties #2

Hello lovelies I hope you are all having a wonderful week. In today's blog I will be sharing with you my current empties from the last few months. As i have said previously, I don't really change up my routine too much but there comes a time when I run out of my favourite products. So without further ado, here are my current product empties.

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation

This is my current favourite foundation, and I have loved this for quite some time. The finish it gives my skin is amazing and the longevity is equally as good. I won't go into too much detail with this one, but it's safe to say I will continue to repurchase it.

Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil

I love this product. It is the perfect eyebrow pencil for me, and lasts the whole day once applied. I love how it also comes with a little brush which is quite handy.

Models Prefer Setting Spray

I have had this product for a while now, and I have forgotten how good it is. I have been using other setting sprays, then went back to this one and fell back in love with it. I have finally finished the bottle, so will definitely be purchasing it again.

Batiste Dry Shampoo

I never used to be a fan of dry shampoo, but these days when time is not on my side, dry shampoo has become a necessity. This one is in the scent Eden and it's a beautiful floral scent. I am a big fan of batiste products and always make sure I have a couple on hand.

Essence False Lashies Mascara

Being a little on the fussy side when it comes to mascara, I am a big fan of Essence mascaras. They are so great for the price, and this product in particular really gives your lashes that false lash effect without being too chunky.

Green Tea Makeup wipes

This is the last product I will share for today. I am a big fan of these makeup wipes from Kmart. They come to a total of two dollars and they do the trick perfectly. These are always a staple for me, and I love how they remove makeup without leaving my skin oily or in bad condition. They come in a pack of twenty and are well worth the two bucks in my opinion.

So that was all of my empties for now. I hope you enjoyed this post, stay tuned for more content soon xx

My Favourite Drug Store Makeup Products

When it comes to buying makeup products, I don't really have a preference to where I buy them from. It's a mixture of both store bought products and products bought online. So for today's post, I am going to share with you my favourite store bought or drug store products.

I'm going to go in order of how I apply my products so to start off with I am going to talk about primers.

The two I want to talk about are the Elf Cosmetics Mineral Face Primer and and BYS Cosmetics Primer Spray. I love these two products for different reasons. The Primer spray is so easy and convenient to use, you simply just spray and wait for it to dry. The Elf one comes in a pump bottle, so I just pump a small amount out and apply. It fills in my pores to give me a flawless complexion.

For Foundation I have two favourites that I use on a regular basis. The first one is the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. I love this because it is very long lasting as well as giving my skin a flawless look. The other foundation that I love is by Maybelline and it's the matte and poreless foundation. This has been a favourite of mine for a while because I love the matte finish.

I love a nice powder and my holy grail face powder is by Australis. This is pretty much the only drug store powder I use and always pick an extra one when I see them on sale. It's the perfect powder for a matte and flawless finish.

For mascara I can be quite fussy. One I have been using recently that I've been loving is by Maybelline and it's called Lash Angel. At first I was a bit worried about the brush, because in my eyes it was a strange shape but I actually really like it. It cover each lash really well and it's buildable without looking too chunky on the eyes. My other favourite mascara is by Essence and I always repurchase this and it'sThe false Lashies Mascara. This is a staple in my makeup collection and for the price I think it's great.

That was some of my all time favourite "drug store" makeup products. Hope you enjoyed this post, let me know what you are loving!

How I Clean My Makeup Brushes

Something that I am not fond of, but love the end result is cleaning my makeup brushes! I know some of you would agree that it is a very time consuming and partly annoying part of being makeup and beauty obsessed, but it is something that needs to be done!

I like to make sure my brushes are cleaned on a regular basis, and have tried many different techniques and products to make this as easy and smooth as possible. Some have worked and some haven't and it can get really annoying not having the right brush cleaning process.

Recently I found a great product from Morphe that is great for cleaning brushes. It is their brush cleaning shampoo and I absolutely love it! There are three different scents, and I have Cotton Blossom. The scent is very subtle, and you can't really smell it on your brushes after use. There is just enough scent there to leave your brushes and hands smelling pretty!

How it works

Basically you grab your brush and swirl it around in the container.

Make sure the product is wet before you use it, this will help it to soap up and clean your brushes.

Once you have enough product on your brush, massage with your fingers to make sure all the makeup is removed from the brush. After that is complete I then rinse out my brush and pop them on a towel to dry.
The worst part is waiting for them to dry!

After Cleaning

After you have finished with the brush shampoo, make sure to give it a rinse out so that there is no makeup left in the product.

I hope you found this post helpful. Just wanted to add that I buy my Morphe products from a great Australian owned site called www.discountbeautyboutique.com.au There is a lot of great products and super fast shipping!

Thank you for reading, stay tuned for more posts soon xx

My very Simple Brow Routine

I am one of those people that simply cannot go outside without my brows done. I kind of feel a little bare when I don't do them, so I have a very simple brow routine that works for everyday looks as well as a more glam look.

So to start off with, I shape my brows. All I use for this part is a hair removal creme. I don't have time to get my eyebrows waxed regularly, so I find this the most simple and effective way to remove any unwanted hair. Most of the time I do this when I'm in the shower and he brand I use is Nair and I use the sensitive skin one.

To fill in my eyebrows and give them a nice full look, I use my favourite eyebrow pencil from Rimmel. This is a great simple pencil that is super easy to use. It's also quick to apply and stays in place all day. I have been using this for ages and it has been working really well for me.

The last product that I use is from Essence and it's their Brow Gel. I love this products, and have been using it for quite sometime now. It just applies on with a small brush and keeps your brows in place all day. As with all of the Essence range, it is also on the lower part of the price scale.

So that is my very simple brow routine. I like to keep it quick and easy as time is not my friend most of the time.

Hope you enjoyed this post, stay tuned for more content coming soon xx

My Current Favourite Lip Products

For today's post, I want to talk about what I am loving in the way of lip products. My main type of lip product is a nice creme lipstick or a lipgloss but there are few matte ones that I am loving at the moment.

The first few products that I am loving at the moment are my metallic ones. I have three, two from BYS Cosmetics and one form Gerard cosmetics.

The one from GC is great. It's a lovely gold colour and lasts for ages on the lips. It has a matte finish but still looks metallic. It really is a lovely product and didn't find it drying at all.

The next two products are from BYS Cosmetics and are also metallic finish ones. I have two colours and both are equally as pretty. As for the quality, I find they are just as good as the more expensive ones from GC. The pigmentation is fantastic and staying power is just as good. They are a fraction of the price of the GC so if you want to try something metallic, I highly recommend trying these ones.

I am a huge fan of the Brand Essence. I love their range of products as well as them being so cheap. My favourites are the lip colours and I do have a few. The ones in particular that I want to talk about are the long matte lasting ones. I have two colours, a pink and a nude. These are so great to carry with you in your hand bag so you can touch up during the day. They really aren't drying at all and have really good longevity. Definitely worth trying if you haven't already!

Hope you enjoyed this post, stay tuned for more content xx

Time to Prime

I never used to be one that would prime my skin before applying my makeup. It never really occurred to me that using a primer not only helps your makeup stay on longer, but also helps the makeup apply better. So for today's post, I would like to share with you some of my favourite primer products.

One I bought because I had heard good things about is the Elf mineral infused Primer. This is a lovely primer and has a very smooth kind of texture. It almost has a silicone feel about it. The only thing I found with this product is my skin will become a little oily, but I use a matte finish foundation and that fixes the problem. I purchased this product from Kmart Australia and it was around thirteen dollars, so quite inexpensive compared to some other products.

Another great primer is from one of my favourite brands, and that is the BYS Cosmetics primer spray. This is such a convenient product, and really gives your skin a perfect base  for makeup application. It also dries really quickly.

The next product is one that I don't use as often is by Rimmel, and it's the stay matte primer. This is great for controlling shine, and you can wear it on it's own or before you apply your makeup. It also able to be applied on top of your makeup too, giving you a complete matte finish. It is very lightweight and also minimises the appearance of pores.

The last product is another Rimmel product and relatively new to my collection. It's the Insta Fix and go Primer and setting spray. I don't mind this product at all, and find it really handy to have. It's oil free and dries super quick making it a great product for makeup application.

I hope you enjoyed re

ading this post, let me know what primers you love!

My "No Makeup" makeup look

There are some days when I just cannot be bothered with a full face of makeup, but I still want to apply something to my face to make myself look a little bit more alive!

This is a look that I use daily, especially when mornings can be very busy trying to get the kids ready for school!

So I will share the products I use for those days when I don't do a full face of makeup.

To start off with my base. I still use a foundation, but I apply a light layer and mix it with my favourite face oil. This gives me a gorgeous glow to my skin as well as applying a light coverage.

Onto my brows, and there isn't a day that goes by when I don't use product on my eyebrows. SO for this step I use my favourite eyebrow pencil from Rimmel. This product is super easy to use and applies well giving my brows a lovely full look.

For my eyes, I usually apply a mascara and a light shadow. The eyeshadow will be as close to my skin colour as possible with a slight shimmer.

I don't usually put too much on my cheeks, I just apply a little bronzer. My favourite one at the moment is by Covergirl. It is quite pigmented and a little goes a long way.

Onto my lips, I like to use a gloss and that will be a nude colour. It just keeps the look natural and without making it look like I have full face of makeup on.

So that's basically it for my "No makeup" makeup look. I hope you enjoyed this post.

BYS Highlighting Palette Review

One brand that I have been loving lately is BYS Cosmetics. Their products are so beautiful and also very inexpensive. Recently they announced that they are now cruelty free, which is amazing!
They have also released a whole range of products, that look really great as well as being dupes for higher end products.

I have the Berries palette, which is a great dupe for the ABH Modern Renaissance palette.
Anyway, for todays post I want to review and swatch for you of the new Highlight palette.
The Palette has 5 shades, Glam, Glisten, Gleam, Golden and Glimmer.

What BYS Says about the product:

"Instantly enhance your complexion with BYS Highlight Palette. Formulated with the finest pearlescent powder, these five highly pigmented, multi-dimensional shades offer rich colour payoff for a fresh and radiant glow."

The shades swatch really well, and have great pigmentation. The glow they give your skin is so pretty. I like to use the pink one as a blush, I just love that little extra glow.

I am very impressed with this palette and the price is only $19.95 which is amazing for s highlight shades. I also love the fact that the palette comes with a mirror, I think that is a great addition.

You do also get a cute little brush with this palette too, which works really well with these colours.

I hope you enjoyed this review, and let me know if you have tried this product, I would love to know your thoughts!

$3 Dollar Skincare Review

In one of my many recent trips to my local Kmart store, I was stalking their beauty section to see if I could find anything that appealed to me because let's face it, as a Beauty Enthusiast we can never have enough beauty products!
I finally came across some products that I hadn't seen before. The brand is called 'Beauty Care Co', and all of their products were around the three dollar mark.
This definitely piqued my interest, as I am definitely one for inexpensive beauty products so I grabbed a couple so I could try them.
The products I grabbed are Rosehip & Oil Body & Hair oil, Rosehip & Jojoba oil Facial Cleanser and Rosehip & Jojoba face oil.

I have to say for the price, these products aren't too bad.

I'll start off with the facial cleanser. This product was probably my least favourite out of the three. It is quite an oily texture and doesn't really foam up too much. I found it cleansed my face well, but I would have to use it a few times before my face felt clean. But for three dollars, it's not a bad product at all.

The next product is the body & hair oil. This product os ok too, I mainly use it on my body rather than my hair. It leaves your skin quite soft as well as giving it a bit of a sheen. It has a slight scent to it too, but nothing too overpowering.

The last product that I want to talk about is the face oil. I really like this product! I was quite surprised to be honest, as it was such an inexpensive product I expected it to be quite oily on my skin. But this is not the case at all! I found it applies and blends in well and even minimises my pores a little. It also gave my skin a glowy finish, which I was quite impressed with.

As I said, these products are only three dollars and are not too bad. There are other products in the range as well as other scents. It's worth checking out of you haven't already.

I hope you enjoyed this post, stay tuned for more content regularly! xx
